Introducing Darren

Darren was elected as the State Member for Morayfield at the March 24 2012 Queensland State Election.  Darren and his wife Leila, and their three children have been proud to call this area home for the last 15 years.

He began his working life in the hospitality field as a baker and later moved into the economic and taxation industries, working as a franchise director for a leading Australian taxation firm. During this experience Darren saw firsthand the many challenges facing small business.

Darren is a life member at the Narangba Crows AFL Club, he is very active in our local area and supports a large range of community groups.  Darren is currently patron of the Burpengary Scouts, Burpengary Pony Club and Narangba Crows AFL Club.

I would like to say a whole hearted thank you for entrusting me as your local member.

I’ve already been out and about in the community attending local events and visiting schools, clubs and groups. I know that the work ahead of me will not be easy, but I look forward to serving you as your local member and tackling the issues that are important to you.
